By focusing on building such an ecosystem from the ground up, BMW and its partners managed IT building blocks including the IaaS, PaaS, (commodity) service, and application layers. Fast forward in 2019, we shifted our focus area towards implementing a cloud-native and democratized data hub that enables us to shift our DevOps efforts to differentiating building blocks.During your internship, you will be part of our Cloud Data Hub team and join us in our journey towards making our vision come true. We are a team with a diverse set of skills covering machine learning engineering and full-stack engineering and foster a fresh, open-minded and agile culture. What awaits you?Scaling out a cloud-based data ecosystem to a large enterprise.Curating developer content for BMW's developer portal.Contributing to our API strategy.Drive the development of applications built upon.Driving the general use of data across our organization. What you should bring along?Major in software engineering, information systems, or adjacent studies.Hands-on experience with programming based on Python or similar languages.First hands-on experience with machine learning (incl. a general understanding of foundational frameworks).Foundational know-how of big data paradigms such as Apache Spark and Kafka.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and coordinate efforts within a team.Aspiration to take on end-to-end responsibility.Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English and German.You have an aspiration to take on end-to-end responsibility.You are able to adapt quickly to changes in business requirements and work in an agile environment.You have a strong interest in emerging technologies and their evaluation and adoption where it makes sense. You are enthused by new technologies and an innovative environment?
