ABOUT THE PRACTICE: The Operations practice helps our clients create a competitive advantage by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities. In addition to procurement, BCG's expertise in Operations covers seven areas, including cost efficiency and asset optimization, Lean advantage, manufacturing, outsourcing and business process offshoring, program management, service operations and supply chain management. Especially our Lean Enablement topic is an area within BCG's overall Operations offering. RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking a strong candidate with experience in/knowledge of Lean programs at a consulting firm or a manufacturing site to fill a Knowledge Analyst position within the Operations Practice Area of the BCG Knowledge Team. This Knowledge Analyst position will be focused on developing and maintaining tools, trainings and best practices provided by BCG's Lean Enablement Center in Düsseldorf. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to both growth and development of the topic within BCG and to help enable companies build capabilities that will assist them in addressing the crucial operational issues they are facing today. In this role, our Knowledge Analyst (f/m) will be working closely with consulting teams in both Germany and France with the goal of building stronger Lean capabilities at our corporate clients. A key element of our offering is to provide client training using BCG's Lean Mobile Laboratory. This Mobile Lab is a hands-on simulation of a production line where experienced BCG Lean experts teach key Lean principles and best practices to clients at many levels of their organization. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: You have up to two years of relevant practical or industry expertise in Lean programs, Lean Enablement or Lean principles related to a specific industry or functional area, either in a multinational company or in a consultancy in a relevant field. You hold an advanced university degree, preferably in engineering or business administration and you have demonstrated high academic achievements. You have a deep understanding of operational realities in Lean Management in different industry sectors. You possess outstanding analytical and communication skills, an excellent command of both the English and German language – French language skills are a strong plus –, a service-oriented approach, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, and you are able to work in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple tasks in parallel.
