The Director of Human Resources (HR) is responsible for the confidential treatment of all HR matters. S/he keeps the Head of School and Chief Operations Officer (COO) fully informed about all relevant HR issues. Moreover, s/he is the main contact person for all employees on HR-related matters. MIS is looking for an outstanding candidate to lead our HR department as of: 1 March 2013 Director of Human Resources (m/f) The full-time position of Director of Human Resources involves, but is not limited to: Support the School Leadership Team in all recruiting and retention matters and organize the orientation programme for new employees Develop, prepare and deliver all HR matters and projects Develop, streamline and execute all HR guidelines and processes Serve as point of contact for employees regarding policies and procedures, and assist in resolving personnel related issues Ensure that employment terms and conditions are accurate and up-to-date Collaborate with the Head of School and COO in the development of employment terms and conditions, and the organizational development Develop, review, monitor and document the professional development and performance management system Ensure the administration of all HR processes Liaise with various internal and external groups, including the works council Qualifications: University degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management or a similar field, advanced degree desirable Excellent knowledge of German labour law, social security system and tax system Experience working at a similar level in an international setting Ability to act at a strategic and operational level Experience of advising middle and senior managers IT proficiency: HR software, MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Fluency in German and English is essential Candidates should be able to demonstrate that they are: Aligned to the Mission, Vision and Values of the school A highly organised, proactive, efficient and resilient multi-tasker and team player Inter-culturally aware with well-developed interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills Approachable, flexible and innovative with an eye for detail And last but not least, able to bring something special to MIS What we have to offer: An exciting position in a unique, international environment A modern workplace with exceptional resources Contract: Initial 2-year contract Remuneration: Salary based on in-house collective agreements, 13th month salary and holiday bonus Application Procedure Interested candidates should send their application to employment@mis-munich.de including the earliest date of availability and salary expectations.
