Discover the Wold of FARO and join our management team as Director Customer Service (m/f) In your role as Director Customer Service (m/f), you will perform functions to plan for, manage and control the Customer Service operations in response to needs for repairs, upgrades, equipment rental, technical phone support, applications support, customer training and SoftCheck Tool development ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Managing the Customer Hotline -, Customer Service-, Repairing- and Training-Team in whole EMEA Collaboration with the senior management team in the development of strategies and tactics to help FARO Europe achieve its corporate goals Lead and Support all Manager and Team Leader in the Customer Service department in reaching their goals, tasks and objectives (incl. Performance Management evaluations) Developing and implementing new business plans and Customer Service strategies for Europe Dealing with Key Account customers (including onsite visits) Evaluating team KPI's and providing recommendations on process improvements Liaisoning with diverse departments (e.g. Sales, F&A, R&D, Product Management, Order Handling, Marketing amongst others) Responsible for Recruitment and Learning Development Credit & expenses controlling to meet Budget guidelines REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 8 years' experience in a Management position, leading 5 direct reports and the responsibility of 75 employees in the CS department Expert in customer relationship management Proficient in spoken and written English + excellent German language skills Strong interest in leadership and team development Strategic thinking, competent organization and coordination skills Ability to persuade others aligned with a high level of service attitude Technical background Innovative and creative Willingness to travel This position is located in our European Headquarter in Korntal-Münchingen.
