For our starch manufacturing plant in Barby (near Magdeburg) we are seeking to recruit a Build Project Engineer (m/f) General information: Our modern starch manufacturing plant is located in Barby (Germany/Saxony-Anhalt). This plant processes wheat to starch and starch derivates. The product range comprises various types of glucose syrups which are processed for the food industry, breweries, the beverage industry, the dairy processing industry and the baking industry. In addition, wheat starches, wheat gluten as well as products for animal feed are also produced here. Major Tasks Lead the preparation, execution and control of low complexity build projects (in general < $3 mio involved Investment) to optimize/improve safety, reliability and/or cost efficiency of the plant Preparing commitments/estimates for approval of build projects Manage and/or coordinate the engineering, construction and process activities Accurately plan and consistently execute the build projects within the safety objectives, scope, budget and time as set up an agreed by utilizing thorough knowledge of the project delivery process Prepare and specify ordering materials and labor contracts Work in close contact with the European Engineering Organization Coordination of construction activities Assist in start-ups in cooperation with other technical departments by taking into account all relevant Cargill rules and local regulations Ensure proper implementation of Cargill Best Practices and policies, national and international norms and standards Occasionally travel You will report directly to the Plant Engineering Manager.
